Two questions about the new Illinois Public Act 104-0121 (SB1742):
&br;
1. Are any municipalities adopting language to enforce the requirements of this public act? 
&br;
2. Regarding smoke/heat removal skylights - while a solid parapet or infilled guard would likely conflict with requirements of NFPA 204, what are your thoughts about an open guard meeting the requirements of IBC 1015.4 (3) for openings that would not allow the passage of a 21-inch diameter sphere being placed around skylights?

    I would say a guard can be like a maintenance barrier that could be designed to not interfere with the smoke removal. There is also no restriction that the guard/barrier can not be set back far enough to not interfere with said skylight function.
